Our History

 

Our many projects here in the port town of San Pedro are unified by three basic principles:

​

• Creating sustainable growing practices that model our local habitat

• Composting as a means of reducing food 

• Creating community through education, food, and nature

 

We have two locations. The Garden is located in the heart of downtown San Pedro on 6th Street and is home to The Garden Church and the majority of our combined events and activities.

 

Our second location, The Farm is in partnership with Los Angeles Unified School District in Northwest San Pedro at the district's Vic and Bonnie Christensen Science Center. We are part of the revitalization of this 3.5-acre plot.
