About
An Urban Farm and Garden
The Mission of Feed & Be Fed is to nourish the whole person using by growing food in community. At our downtown Garden in San Pedro, dominated by the familiar 6th Street dinosaur we gather to feed and be fed in body, mind, and Spirit. We do this by teaching food justice, growing food together and meeting the needs of each person by meeting them where they are.
Our volunteers cultivate healthy organic food, recycle food waste to make compost, educate children and adults in sustainable food management and provide a beautiful sanctuary in the heart of our urban community on the edge of the Port of Los Angeles.
Feed and Be Fed was granted non-profit status in 2017. Founded by The Garden Church, Feed and Be Fed runs and maintains an All Volunteer Run Communal Garden located in downtown San Pedro and is in the process of expanding to a second location.
